Hey guys,
This probably isn't what anyone wants to hear, but myself and Justin (the new admins) are stepping down as administrators and developers. We certainly were not able to bring everything to Blackout that we wanted to or change Blackout in ways that would benefit all players but we will leave one of our intended features with the bRO development team to finish implement and tune to this server.
Some reasons for our departure:
1. Real-Life Time Constraints:
Life can be busy and running a server is demanding. Justin and myself are quite busy with work and other real-life obligations that take priority over Blackout.
2. Difference in Server Direction:
Upon joining this team, we thought we were comfortable with what we were signing up for and we ended up being wrong about that. Whenever most of our time devoted to working on Blackout ends up being spent debating on how to improve Blackout from fundamentally different perspectives and we are unable to reconcile our differences, it is clear that something has to change. We believe it is better for us to step back so that energy can be spent on development rather than debate.
We absolutely regret doing this at this point in time but I believe that Blackout should not be manned by a bunch of ghosts or individuals who are not 100% devoted to the current server's direction so stepping back temporarily is not an option we are comfortable with. In the future, we may lightly support Blackout in a development-only capacity. We believe that the current remaining administration team is more than capable to lead Blackout forward and through official launch.
Best Regards,
lkjewq and Justin
