Solved Ordinary Branch - not dropped by any monster

I'm trying to complete the "New Surroundings" quest, but I'm currently stuck at the Diego NPC part. He is asking for 20 ordinary branches and 20 strong vines that are supposedly dropped by the mob Nepenthes. However, the mob only drop strong vines, but not the ordinary branches. Is there an alternative way to get this item?
