Mysterious Crane Mechanics Explained

The Mysterious Crane was introduced way back in 2013 by GM-Phyress. We are happy that she bestowed so many headgears upon us. It has gone through various changes over its lifetime. Finally, we have an official source of information for you to read.​

Where is this NPC?

You can find this NPC at hfame 88 56, or simply type @go bg.



What does this NPC do?

It has two functions.

1. 2 Umbral Token = Random chance to get a rare headgear or other item
2. 4 Umbral Token = Convert a piece of 'Glorious' equipment to a tradeable version

How to work the NPC?

It must first be activated. It can be activated by giving it the armor it asks for (one of Assassin Robe, Assaulter Plate, Elite Archer Suit, Elite Engineer Armor, Elite Shooter Suit, Medic Robe). This armor must be refined to +6 or above.​

Depending on how highly the armor was refined, you can get different results.​

+7​	Mysterious Crane activates for 100 uses Player receives 1 random Class A headgear and 2 Umbral Tokens
+8​	Mysterious Crane activates for 250 uses Player receives 2 random Class A headgears and 6 Umbral Tokens
+9​	Mysterious Crane activates for 750 uses Player receives 1 random Class S headgear and 12 Umbral Tokens
+10​	Mysterious Crane activates for 2500 uses Mysterious Recycler NPC activates Player receives 3 random Class S headgears and 40 Umbral Tokens Battlegrounds Happy Day is activated (like BG happy hour, but for 24 hours straight and even better rewards)

Headgears

2 Umbral Token option works as follows:​

1. Give the crane 2 Umbral Tokens.​
2. 2% chance to proceed to next step, otherwise it will give you one of the following: Enriched Elunium (5%), Enriched Oridecon (5%), Purified Elunium (10%), Purified Oridecon (10%), Dusty Black Charcoal (17.5%), Dusty Charcoal (17.5%), Dusty Coal (17.5%), Dusty Live Coal (17.5%)​
3. If successful on previous step, you will either be given a Class S (25%) or Class A (75%) headgear.​

Class S Headgears: Cat Ears, Cat Ears Cape, Chewing Bubblegum, Christmas Hamster, Cold Breath, Diamond Dust, Drake Coat, Flying Galapago, Gentleman's Pipe, Lighthalzen Aura, Mad Hatter, Nekomimi Cyber Headphones, Pigeon Hat, Reaper's Grace, Reaper's Scythe, Santoryu, Sniper Rifle, Water Spellcaster

Class A Headgears: Angeling Fur Hat, Ash's Hat, Angry Cat, Cat Ear Hat, Dragon Soul, Foxtail, Gangster Scarf, Jeje Cap, Kyuubi no Kitsune, Little Aquarium, Navi, Pope Crown, Pure White Marching Hat, Spirit Souls, Survivor's Orb, Tone of Gold, Wanderer's Sakkat

Mysterious Recycler NPC

Activated only during BG Happy day. Exchanges 10 of the coals you get from the Mysterious Crane to a random one of the following:

• Metal Dragon Helmet (5%)
• Metal Dragon Hat (5%)
• Enriched Elunium (10%)
• Enriched Oridecon (10%)
• Purified Elunium (35%)
• Purified Oridecon (35%)
