bRO for windows 8?

Is there a way to run bRO on windows 8? Downloaded the full installer and it says:
"This's app can't run on your pc, to find a version for your pc, check with the software publisher"

I installed the RAR file and it installed the file but it only goes to the start screen but doesnt not load the actual game for logging in

Start screen, you mean, patch client?

Could you please share your setup.exe screenshots as well?

Yes. It opens up the patch client then gepard does it's thing and then it crashes.
I tried removing the patchlist.dat file as well from what I've read from other threads, as well as turning anti-virus/firewall off.

Is your patcher, client.exe and setup.exe have "Run as an administrator" checked under Properties?

Also please confirm if you read this troubleshooting thread.

yes, I have tried running everything as admin, checked under properties, and still nothing. I also tried the troubleshooting methods but it's still not working.

It works now actually! thank you so much! haha. I tried restarting my computer after all those changes.
