While taking a bath I had a vision about a possible way to resurrect the dead.


Disclaimer: Everything you read below are just ideas and suggestions so do not expect them to be implemented or pressure the staff to get them implemented. The staff might have a plan and the purpose of this thread is to give them some ideas.
Introducing


What is Blackout Reboot?
A bathroom vision that aims to resurrect this dying server by implementing rapid changes to attract players to come back.
This will be composed of 2 phases which will give players something new in each phase.

Blackout Reboot - Phase 1
Goal: Spark Interest of players to comeback, Bait them with FREE Items.
Advertising Theme: "Reconnect with Friends"

Yes, you heard that right. In the Phase 1 we are baiting them with free items!

During the launch most of the major concerns from players are:
-Where are my items? I got full set before!
-Where do I get ex items? No Donations now?
-BG is not running where do I get items?
-What are these freebies? I dont understand them.

To sum it all up, Our server is not newbie friendly.
Old players are also too lazy to grind in BG for items.
They want instant action in WOE/GVG/PVP but they cant because they do not have the gears.

So for a LIMITED TIME and FIRST TIME in blackout history. We are giving free items to new and returning players.

Yes, And they offer great convenience and can easily grab the attention of players to click that download button.
Basically these are our Main highlight in our advertising campaign.

What about the economy?
The items are not refinable, tradable, and account bound. So I guess making 20 accounts just to abuse this is pointless.

DAILY ATTENDANCE REWARDS
Aside from rental tickets we will also have a daily item rewards.
20 Ex Item Stones = 1 Random EX Item



Blackout Reboot - Phase 2
Goal: Maintain and Increase player count
Advertising Theme: "Strengthen the Bonds"

Assuming that the Phase 1 had been a success and we have around 1k players.
We need to maintain them and for that to happen we have to regain their trust to the staff and avoid any bias issues.

GM IDENTITY RESHUFFLING

Say goodbye to your GM friends! Well they aren't really going anywhere they are just gonna change their name and they wont be allowed to reveal/hint their true identity to players. They can still help and converse with other players but they cannot tell/hint them that Its me Im GM-Hotdog and I play in Generic.
GMs that are reportedly revealing their guild affiliations and true identity will be warned.


PLAYER SATISFACTION IN-GAME SURVEYS

We will also have these popups to assess the content level of our players. Some questions will include If they are happy in the server. Are they satisfied with the current meta. Which meta would they like to see in the future. This will give the team an idea on what to do next.


WEEKLY WOE AND GOTM VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS
There will be an assigned staff who will record some highlight videos and post it in our facebook page to attract more players.



These are all my remaining ideas and I know some of these are quite weird and desperate strategies but I think we really something big if we want to prevent this server from dying.

+1 but you know those who donated or grinded to craft items won't agree. People would rather cement their status/rank than see a healthy server. imo

-1 for that, unless you want the few remaining players to leave. It's not like the game is terribly imbalanced as it is right now with the gears people have. I feel that the server as it stands now, is pretty much a fresh start. I remember when the server was wiped after guys duped fairy bottles and went to WoE, when the server population was 3000+. That was a viable time to wipe. Sore losers will be always be sore losers

Why even bother, the gms are deaf. We've been suggesting %#!@ since GM-Bunki/Vanish was a thing. This server is dead. No advertisements, MvP cards are easy to get same with EX Items and all the GMs are long gone. @Jack even tried to do something about this shitty server but no actions are being done. This server died so quick.

I think close the server to focus on improving the server then reopen it just like you did last year with right advertisement.

this era 2019 so many 3d games on the market and free to play.
just need more advertisements on the server. coz the FB page of the server bro is passive also.

for me advertising at facebook and other sites wont help due to this kind of reason.
they have downloaded the game and they saw the main town like a ghost town
they will just quit and find another server.
pvp and woe are dead,no player will be interested to play on a inactive server.
this server needs a fresh start and give authority to the gm staffs that actually cared for the server.
